Project management
Dr. Ariane Pessentheiner, MSc
I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biomedicine at the University of Graz and wrote my dissertation at Graz University of Technology on the development of fat cells and their involvement in metabolic diseases. After a three-and-a-half-year research stay in San Diego/California, I led my first FWF-funded science communication project "HerzSache" at the Medical University of Graz from 2021. There, I focused on the topic of cardiovascular diseases and their prevention.
I am currently a scientific project manager and science communicator in Prof. Sandro Keller's working group at the Institute of Molecular Biosciences in the field of biophysics. Since 2023, I have also completed a training as a communication trainer at WIFI Austria.
My heart beats not only for science and communication - in my free time I like to be creative, with everything from painting and handicrafts to sewing. Recently I have also become an enthusiastic gardener.
