In November, the second BioPhyCom workshop took place at the Akademisches Gymnasium in Graz. Once again, we were guests of a 5th grade class.

As with the first time, the pupils first visited us at the University of Graz, where they were given a guided tour of the laboratory. In the second session, we were on site at the Akademisches Gymnasium, where unfortunately the wave of colds led to some absences. Nevertheless, we were able to try out a new format with the students, which we call "Wandercomics".

Each young person starts with a picture of a comic story. After a short time (approx. 3-5 minutes), the comic with the finished first picture in the series is then passed on. The story that was started by someone else must now be continued in the shortest possible time. The comic then moves on until a 4-panel story is finished. The initiator of the story can then give it a title at the end.

This results in very funny and creative comic stories that can also be used as inspiration for your own comic. The pupils clearly enjoyed this new activity and were introduced to storytelling in a playful way.
